'River of Life' Banners.  Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.  2000

This sequence of 9 metre high wall-hanging banners linked by a flowing river meander was designed to celebrate life in all its stages and to bring an uplifting feeling of optimism to the huge space of the atrium entrance hall.

'Elvet' Series.  Durham City Council.  2004

A group of paintings on canvas, large paperworks and 8 screenprints made for the refurbishment of council offices in Durham.  The series were based on the iconic and spectacular incised meander formed by the River Wear around the city.

The screenprints were made with master printmaker Kip Gresham at the Print Studio, Cambridge.
'Continuum'    Lancaster Royal Infirmary.   2003

This 8.5 metre representation of the DNA double helix was made in 12 sections of glass reinforced plastic and back lit with neon in four colours. Activated by a light sensor the neon lights up as darkess falls and slowly cross-fades from one strand of the spiral to the other.
It was designed as a symbol of the continuity of life as were the similarly plaited patterns of the saxon period.
Acoustic Wall Panels,  Bedson Teaching Centre,  University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.  2001

The wall panels ( approx. 100 sq m ) provide a strong colourful back-drop to this state-of-the-art lecture theatre and include references to the prehistoric rock art of the region of which there are fine examples in the Universities Museum of Antiquities.  They also refer to the cultural diversity both of the area and the University itself by the inclusion of various patterns derived from the Indian sub-continent.

These were produced by Photobition Scanachrome of Skelmersdale, Lancs.
